Engineering and Tooling Support

Lewis Plastics provides engineering and tooling services that guide projects from concept through production. Our team combines decades of experience in custom plastic injection molding and insert molding manufacturing to improve part quality, enhance manufacturability, and reduce development time.

Product Development and Design

Early engineering collaboration helps prevent costly revisions and accelerate time to market. Lewis Plastics assists with part geometry, gate placement, and wall thickness optimization to ensure the best results from the injection molding process. Using advanced design tools and mold flow analysis, we evaluate resin behavior and fill patterns to confirm that every part can be molded efficiently and consistently.

Our engineers work across multiple CAD platforms, including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Pro Engineer, supporting seamless communication with customer design teams.

Project Management

With experience across a wide range of injection molding technologies, Lewis Plastics provides the insight and structure needed to keep programs on schedule and aligned with customer goals.

Quality Planning

We implement the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) approach to support development and production. APQP provides a structured quality plan that ensures customer requirements are met at each stage of the project.
